The purpose of the TOGAF Essentials 2018 credential is to provide validation that individuals who have earned the credential have up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the changes introduced to the TOGAF Body of Knowledge in 2018.
The learning objectives for this credential therefore focus on knowledge and comprehension.
Individuals who are TOGAF 9 Certified and who wish to show they have up-to-date knowledge of the 2018 version of the TOGAF Body of Knowledge
Individuals who are trainers delivering Accredited Training Courses based on the TOGAF Standard,Version 9.2

The changes to the TOGAF Content Framework and Metamodel in the TOGAF Standard,Version 9.2
The changes to the security considerations that need to be addressed during application of the ADM
Other significant changes made in the TOGAF Standard, Version 9.2
Changes to the terms and definitions in the TOGAF Standard, Version 9.2
The TOGAF Credentials Program
The credential is only awarded by completing a mandatory training element followed by an assessment
A minimum of three (3) hours training on the subject is required
TOGAF Essentials 2018 Simple multiple-choice question format 20 questions/30 minutes
The assessment is delivered over the Internet.
Upon satisfactory completion of the training element, Accredited Training Course providers submit Candidates to The Open Group, who will then issue an invitation to the Candidate to take the assessment.
Candidates are required to complete at least three (3) hours training at an Accredited Training Course.
To earn the credential, Candidates are required to be TOGAF 9 Certified
